Stainless Steel Double End Threaded Studs

The stainless steel double end threaded studs features threads on both ends with an unthreaded central shank, allowing one end to be screwed into a tapped hole while the other accepts a nut. This configuration is ideal for deep, blind, or otherwise inaccessible holes in engine blocks, transmission cases, cylinder heads, and precision equipment. Using a stainless steel double end threaded stud increases load capacity, avoids interference issues, and provides a reliable threaded connection where through-bolts are impractical.

Manufactured in accordance with ISO 898-1, SAE J429, and GB/T 900 standards, the stainless steel double end threaded stud is available in grades 4.8, 8.8, 10.9, and 12.9. Materials are selected based on grade requirements: Q235 steel for grade 4.8, and 45# carbon steel or 42CrMo alloy steel for higher strength grades. Heat treatment ensures the required mechanical performance; grade 12.9 achieves a tensile strength of ≥1220 MPa and a yield strength of ≥1080 MPa. Surface treatments such as zinc plating, nickel plating, or Dacromet provide salt spray resistance ranging from 240 to 720 hours, suitable for various service environments.

Thread sizes range from M3 to M30, with total lengths from 15 mm to 200 mm and 6g thread tolerance. The plain shank conforms to h9 tolerance. Both threaded ends are customizable in length (commonly 1d, 1.5d, or 2d). Cold forming and precision thread rolling ensure complete thread profiles and high coaxiality, with runout between ends controlled to ≤0.05 mm.
