The production process of studs encompasses several key stages: First, high-quality round steel (such as 45# or 40Cr steel) is selected, and the stud length (customizable), diameter (standard or non-standard), and pitch (e.g., 1.5-6mm) are determined according to the drawings. The processing stage includes turning (outer diameter accuracy ±0.01mm), milling (hole diameter tolerance H7 grade), and thread machining (thread accuracy 6g grade) to ensure dimensional accuracy. Subsequent processes include carburizing and quenching (hardness HRC35-45) and electroplating (plating thickness 8-12μm) to enhance strength and corrosion resistance. Finally, after three quality inspections (including hardness testing and salt spray testing ≥72h), the studs are packaged and shipped. This process is suitable for high-pressure applications such as oil pipelines and wind turbine towers, ensuring both structural stability and fatigue resistance.

 

The common core steps of the process include: arc initiation, melting, upsetting (immersion), and cooling and solidification. Key process parameters include welding current (or charging voltage), welding time, lifting height, and immersion speed. These parameters must be precisely set according to the stud diameter, material, and workpiece thickness.
